Award Ceremony Anchoring Script

AssalamuAalikum ladies and gentlemen. Peace be unto you all!

Mohammed Ali says and I quote:

“I don’t count my sit-ups. I only start counting when it starts hurting. When I feel pain, that’s when I start counting, because that’s when it really counts.”

All praises due to God. And may he send peace and mercy upon the Prophet Muhammad as he sent peace and mercy upon the Prophet Abrahim. Indeed, He is praiseworthy and glorious.

Today is the day of honour. Today is the day of appreciation. Today is the day of encouragement. Today is the day of motivation. Today is the day of felicitation of the stars and heros of this valley-the outstanding sports personalities.

Ladies and gentlemen, I, Asif Sultan, a faculty member of this school, feel more than privileged today to host this grand event of Felicitation Ceremony for Outstanding Sports Personalities of Kashmir, organised by Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute in collaboration with KASHMIR MARTIAl ARTS SOCIETY, and I, on their behalf, with the overwhelming joy, welcome you all to this magnificent event.

I thank you so much for gracing this event with your worthy presence.

  • May I, especially, welcome our chief guest, Honorable Deputy Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudary. Please give him a warm welcome.

  • We're joined by the guest of honor SSP, Maqsood uz Zamaan, IPS. Kindly join me in welcoming his worthy presence.

  • A staunch Sports promoter, Chairman of Iqbal Sporta Srinagar, Mr Bashir Ahmed Malik has also added the grace to the event with his presence.

  • And last but not least, let's put our hands together and give an enthusiastic welcome to all the sports stars of the valley.

And let us know that we're graced by the presence of the great legendary of sports here, who've brought grand accolades to the nation on international level.

Like: the only olympian of the valley, who's represented India in Olympics.

1st International player representing India-Mr M Yousuf Dar

Former Captain of Indian football team-Mr Ab Majeed Kakroo

And India's women football team head coach-Mr Sajid Yousuf Dar.

Ladies and gentlemen,

1. Let's commence this event with a few sports demonstrations: -

Firstly, I call upon the Wushu Team of Kashmir Harvard. Please come on the stage and let all of us cheer for them.

It was, I believe, a wonderful performance. The students and their dedicated trainers deserve the pat on back.

2. Now, I would like to call upon the Taekwondo Team for Teakwondo demonstration. Let's give them a passionate welcome.

“The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory.” – Les Brown

That was outstanding performance.

Ladies and gentlemen , now we're all set for kicking off the award ceremony. Let's remind ourselves that this event has been successfully being conducted since 2013 to appreciate the dedication and tenacity the players of our Valley.

We all owe them a big thanks.

Thank you, the super stars of Kashmir, for giving us a genuine reason to feel proud of our phenomenal potential, and inspiring youth to achieve the greater heights of success in life.

You have done what was deemed to be impossible. Your determination and perseverance is a great example of real heroism. Ladies and gentlemen please join me again in applauding for the heros of the valley.

Then call the names of the awardees one by one.

And use quotes and other stuff to make it engaging.

At last thank all the guests, awardees and audience for being part of the event.
