Welcome note: -

Honorable Chairman, venerated Board of Directors, Esteemed Principal and vise Principal, respected guests and teachers and my dearbrothers and sisters a very warm welcome to you on behalf of International Islamic School.
I welcome you all, with the Islamic Greetings assalamualaikumwarahmatullahiwabarkatuhoo. ..May peace, mercy and blessings of Allah Subhanahuwata’aala, of Almighty God be on all of you.
I ……………………………..of standard 5th A, will be your host for the day. This program “Al-FurqanQirat competition is destined for the Qiraat of the book of Allah
.I assure you that this programme will besoothing our hearts by listening to the angelic innocent voices of budding Qaries of International Islamic School Srinagar.
Qira'atliterally means to read. In Islamic terminology means the method of recitation of Holy Quran.
Allah (subhananahuwataala) revealed the Holy Quran in Arabic. Allah says in the Holy Quran: “We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran, in order that you may learn wisdom. (12:2)”
It is the most distinguished book among all the reveled books. It is also distinguished on account that it was revealed to His last Prophet. The Holy Quran is a living miracle until the Day of Judgment because Allah declares Himself – the custodian of His message.
“It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Quran) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption)” Chapter 15: verse 9
Allah (subhananahuwataala –) specifies three rights of the Holy Quran upon the believers.
* Recitation of the verses correctly in the manner it was revealed to the Prophet (peace be upon        him).
* Comprehension of the message of Allah
* Follow the teachings and guidance of the Holy Quran in practical.

This month, is the month of the Quran… This month attained the sanctity because of the revelation of the book of Allah. Prophet would get happy and used to be generous during this month because of the Quran. He would read the Quran with Jabrieel every night of the Ramadan.
As mentioned in SahiBukhari
Abdullah bin Abbas says, “The Prophet – peace be upon him - was the most generous person, but in Ramadan he used to be more generous when Gabriel used to meet him. Gabriel used to see him during Ramadan every night and he used to read the Quran with him. The Prophet –peace be upon him - was then more generous with goodness than the blowing wind."
It is all because of the Quran…but unfortunately we are so far from Quran, the book of Allah, the guidance for us of all. We have abandoned the Quran… We don’t read it…We don’t contemplate its verses, we don’t abide by its injunctions…. And we affirm that we’re the best people of the world… We are the Ummah of the Grand Prophet Mohammad….and we don’t fulfill the rights of the Quran.
My dear brothers and sisters Ramadan is high time to get closer to the book of Allah…
Read more and more…get the translation of the Quran…and try to understand it and know what your Lord wants you to be… And get the tranquility and peace by doing what Allah wants you to do.
So let’s whet our appetite to do what we owe to the Book of Allah.
