Arabic
Welcome note: -
Honorable
Chairman, Revered Board of Directors, Esteemed Principal and vise Principal,
respected guests and teachers and my dear brothers and sisters a very warm
welcome to you on behalf of International Islamic School.
I welcome you all, with the Islamic Greetings
assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarkatuhoo. ..May peace, mercy and blessings
of Allah Subhana hu wa ta’aala, of Almighty God be on all of you.
I Zunain Bin Nazir will be your host for the
day. This Seminar, 2nd of its kind, is exclusively intended to Welcome the
upcoming sacred month of Ramadan. I assure you that this
programme will be Islamically very enlightening and will in sha Allah acquaint
us with many things regarding Ramadhan and fasting. What we’re ought to do and
what we are supposed to desist from, In sha Allah our speakers will be telling
us during their insightful speeches.
The month of Ramadhan is fully abound with blessings
and mercy. Ramadhan,,, the month of magnanimity, the month of charity and
kindness, the month of Quran… that is the chosen month by Allah (swt), about
which our beloved Prophet says,
“When the first night of
Ramadan comes, the devils and demons are chained up, and the gates of Hell are
closed and not a single gate of it is opened. The gates of Paradise are opened
and not one gate of it is closed. And a caller calls out: "O seeker of good,
come to Allah; O seeker of evil, desist." Allah will have ransomed some
people from the Fire, and that happens every night." (Narrated by
al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Maajah).
Ramadan is the most important
month of the year. It is the month that the believers await with eagerness. At
the beginning of Rajab --- two full months before Ramadan --- the Prophet
Muhammad (Pbuh) used to supplicate thus: "O Allah! Bless us during Rajab
and Sha'ban, and let us reach Ramadan (in good health)."
Ramadhan
is that blessed month in which the most blessed gift has been granted to this
last Ummah, the Quran, the word of Allah, the guidance for whole of humankind
till the Day of Judgment.
Allah
says in Quran, in Surah Baqarah, Chapter 2, verse 185, which was recited by brother Zamin.
“The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was
revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and
criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it;
The month of Ramadan is the month of kindness, charity and generosity
Abdullah bin Abbas says, “The Prophet – peace be upon him - was the most
generous person, but in Ramadan he used to be more generous when Gabriel used
to meet him. Gabriel used to see him during Ramadan every night and he used to
read the Quran with him. The Prophet –peace be upon him - was then more
generous with goodness than the blowing wind." (Al-Bukhari)
So
my dear brothers and sisters let’s warmly welcome this blessed month with an affectionate
welcome.
