English Translation of Silsilah Ahadith Sahihah of Sheikh Albani By: Asif sultan Matta.

Hadith No. 01.
Abdullah Bin Muqsim says that he saw Abdullah Bin Umar imitating the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) while relating the statement of Prophet, thus stated that Allah’s apostle (PBUH) said, “Allah will hold the heavens and the earths in his hands and will say, “I am Allah”. Then he will stretch his fingers and will bind them, and will say, “I am the sovereign”. Afterward, Prophet wobbled right and left even the pulpit jolted, and I was afraid that Prophet (pbuh) may fall down”.   (Narrated by Sahi Muslim & Baihaqi)
Let’s have some more explanation of above sited Hadith.
Allah says in the glorious Quran, in Surah Zumr, Chapter 39, and verse 67:
“They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be (within) His grip on the day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.”
Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) explains that a Jewish scholar came to the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and said, “We find (in our religious scriptures) that on the day of judgment, Allah will hold the heavens on one finger, the Earth on other finger, the trees on other, water and wetness on other, and further creatures on other finger, and will say, “I am the king”. The Prophet (PBUH) smiled in its endorsement, even his molars were visible. He then recited the following verse of Surah Zumr,
“They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal, while the earth entirely will be (within) His grip on the day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.” (39:67)                                                                            (Sahih Bukhari: H:4811)
According to Abu Huraira’s narration Allah will say at that occasion, “Anal Malik, Aina malooqul Ardh”, which means, “I am the king. Where are the kings of the earth?”   (Sahih Bukhari: 4812)
This is somewhat assessment of the power, dominance and majesty of Allah (swt).
It has been the perspective of Salaf-e-Sauliheen (righteous predecessors) to believe compulsorily in the attributes of Allah (swt) which has been discussed in the Quran and Ahadith of Prophet (PBUH), unambiguously, without any interpretation in accordance to their own perceptions. For instance, the above mentioned verse of Quran and Prophetic sayings, talk about the two hands and fingers of Allah (SWT); and statement about the stretching and binding of fingers of Allah (swt). These are the attributes of Allah as he really is (and we are bound to believe in them though we are not able to comprehend it thoroughly)
The creatures of Allah are ought to accept the Lordship and divinity of the supreme and sovereign God and to bow down in his obedience, and to consider him as the unique in his being and in his every attribute, not to associate any partner with him in his attributes; and to obey his every commandment with contentment and pleasure. That is what is called ‘Tauheed’ for which the entire system of this humongous universe has been brought about into the existence.
