Jallianwala
Bagh Massacre is very well-known in Indian History, which is even thoroughly acquainted
by every children of their nation and by ours also. It was taken place in the
garden of northern Indian city of Amritsar on 13th April 1919. In
which a huge band of people convened for protest meeting against British Rule,
in Jallianwala Bagh. After getting information that a meeting of enormous
number of people had assembled at the Garden of Jallianwala, General Dyer went
with his troops and ordered them to shoot at the throng, so they showered
innumerous bullets erratically upon them, which caused mass killing of innocent
people, there. This mass execution was hailed and approved by many authorities
of British; and many denounced it too. Likewise,
Yesterday, In Kashmir at Dharam Gool Ramban District, on Thursday 18th
July-2013, on the occasion of Holy month Ramadhan Ul Mubarak a similar carnage
was taken place, where a huge crowd of enraged people of Ramban district came
out from their houses to protest against desecration of their religious book by
Indian Troops. On hearing that a protest of thousands of people is going on, Shyam Vinod Meena,
DC Ramban, ordered his forces to open indiscriminate fire upon the unarmed
protesters (according to witnesses), which led to the killing and injury of civilians.
Although the number of causalities between that incident and this are poles
apart, but the nature of both incidents is not much different. There, the
Indian people were protesting against the tyranny and imperialism of British
military; and here, Kashmiri people are demonstrating against the blasphemy of
their religious book by the Indian troops. There, Indians were struggling against
British rule; and here, Kashmiri people are struggling in the opposition to
Indian occupation. There, Brigadier-General Reginald E.H. Dyer ordered to kill them indiscriminately; and here, Deputy
Commissioner of Ramban, Shyam Vinod Meena directed his soldiers to open fire on
the protesters randomly. There, Human beings were slaughtered; and here same
happened. Not a big difference!
No doubt, the massacre of Jallianwala Bagh and
Ramban are both condemnable and all such massacres too. We should not acclaim them in any cost.
Khoon apna
ho ya paraya ho Nasle Insaan ka khoon hai
aakhir;
Jung Mashrik me ho ya magrib me ho amn-i-aalam
ka khoon hai akhir.
“Whether our blood is being shed or others’,
it is the blood of the Humanity;
Whether the war takes place in
the east or in the west, it disturbs the peace of the whole world.”
The
people upon them these massacres have been befallen should not massacre others
and may not tolerate this ever, because they can realize and understand what
happens to a nation when these tragedies are occurred. Entire nation is feeling
pain and sufferings when these dreadful calamities inflict. But so hapless! We
people become so depraved and despicable, as we relish the killing and agonies
of other human being for our own vested interests. In our sight, there is no
value of human blood. It is being shed not like water, but like defiled and
dirty water, so ridiculous!
India
has seen and tolerated the tyranny and oppression of British and they were
condemning them. But when it comes to others they hail it, approve and even
represent such heinous acts by their own obvious policy. Was there blood pure
and ours is tainted? Aren’t we among the folk of human beings? Haven’t we such
feelings, which Indians used to have under the occupation of British? They
considered their protests as struggle and ours as disruption in the world
peace, although we are massacred, our dignity is assaulted and our religious
signs are sacrileged.
On
one hand, these acts are being condemned by Authorities and on the other they
are tolerated too. If the authorities at the helm are sincere with their own statements,
they would never tolerate such incidents. Where we will go for justice? Their
forces do these things, they condemn it and side by side they even approve it,
by their tightlipped endorsement.
Wohi kaatil, wohi shahid, wohi
munsif thehra;
Aqraba mere khoon ka daava kare
kis par…..
They are the killers, they are
witnesses, and even they are the justices.
O my relatives where I will go to
bring the case of your murder?
